How to activate, jailbreak and unlock 1.1.4 firmware with iLiberty+
(3.9 / 4.6 bootloader)

iLiberty+ is yet another program you can use to jailbreak, activate, and unlock 1.1.4 firmware. The Windows version was created by George Zhu and Aviegas. Thanks also go out to Baalbeck, bgm, cRAKn, francis, GeoHot, George Zhu, MuscleNerd, pepijn, pumpkin, SoLoR, stroke, sunny, tjcarter and the iPhone Dev Team.

Step 1.

Download iLiberty+ here. Launch iLiberty+.




Click Tools, then Options.




Make sure Check repo at startup is checked. Click the OK button and then close iLiberty+ and relaunch it.




Now when it starts you'll see it scanning available downloads on the official iLiberty repository.




The program opens in the Standard tab. Now select the options you'd like. I mistakenly checked the downgrading a 4.6 bootloader to a 3.9 fake blank bootloader (as you'll see in a picture later) but it didn't matter. There is error checking in this program.









Now click the Advanced tab. You'll see that based on your selections in the standard tab, that there are three Payloads in the Selected Payloads tab.




Click the lower tab that says Payloads Available On Repo. You can select additional things to install at the same time. You could also just come back later after unlocking your phone and add them at that time.




After you have selected everything you want, click Download to get all the files. You'll see a progress bar for each file.




Now click on the Local Payloads tab. You must now check each check box next to the files you want to install. Unfortunately this isn't done for you automatically. As you check the boxes you'll see the counter increases in the Selected tab at the bottom.




If you go to the Selected Payloads tab, you'll see everything that is ready to be installed. Click the Go for it! button when you are ready.




If you get this error, click OK and launch iTunes. You can keep it open during this process. Click Go for it! again.




When you see this screen, unplug the iPhone and then plug it back in to the computer. Click the OK button.




This screen will appear and the phone will reboot.




Text will scroll on the iPhone's screen. Note the invalid calibration data in device tree message (hopefully you don't see this).




You'll then see a screen with a blue bar at the top and you'll receive verbose output while the program executes the various installations you selected. When finished, the iPhone will reboot and it will be ready for use.
