Disabling the auto correction keyboard setting
intel Mac / Windows
The ability to add a preference setting in the keyboard menu that would affect auto correction was discoverd by "Zhivago"
in this thread.
This uses a method where you switch out
the keyboard.plist file. I'll show you how to do it in the Installer instead.
Normally when you type in various programs, the iPhone tries to offer suggestions to misspellings. Some times
it tries to correct things it shouldn't which are the most annoying, especially when it changes it without you
being able to stop it (like in Safari). Until now, if you went to the Keyboard settings menu, there was nothing
there that could help you.
Launch Installer and press the Install icon. Scroll down to the Tweaks (1.1.1) folder and press it.
Press Kb2 and install it. When it has finished, press the Home button and then slide to unlock. Now
press Settings, General, Keyboard and you will see the new menu entry and the slider.
