Attention
You should read my
Warning to all iPhone owners
page before proceeding.
Step 1.
Download iLiberty+ here.
Step 2.
Connect your iPhone to your Mac and launch iLiberty+. The Jailbreak + Installer box is checked by default. In my case I knew for a fact
that my iPhone had a version 3.9 bootloader so I checked the Unlock box. If you have a version 4.6 bootloader then you must check the
Unlock with 3.9FB box instead. Next click the free my iPhone button. The button will reflect which storage capactiy your iPhone has.
The iPhone will reboot and code will scroll on the screen.
You'll get the message executing jailbreak, and the iPhone will reboot again.
The next message running phase 2 will appear, and the iPhone will display a status screen.
You will get a message for the final reboot. iTunes will launch. Lastly, the enjoy message will appear.
You'll see the Installer icon is already on the SpringBoard.
