Step 4.

Here is how you tether over Bluetooth. First turn Bluetooth on on your iPhone and on your computer. You may have to go into System Preferences if you don't have the Bluetooth icon on your computer's screen already.




I then checked the boxes for On, and Discoverable. Then click the Set Up New Device... button.




My iPhone just appeared in the list. Click Continue.




You will be given a number to enter into your iPhone.





Enter the number on your iPhone and press the Connect button.




At this screen click Quit.




Click Cancel.




At this screen click the gear button and select Connect to Network.




You should now see the iPhone is connected.






Head over to a website. I thought this loaded pretty fast for a Bluetooth connection.




When you are done, click on the gear and select Disconnect from Network. You may want to shut off Bluetooth on your Mac.




Don't forget to shut off tethering on the iPhone. You may also want to shut off your 3G and Bluetooth on the iPhone. I use SBSettings to do this quickly.
