Springtomize is a great program for customzing your iPhone. It contains a plethora of
tweaks and many ways to visually customize your iPhone. There is no way that I could
cover everything. I'm going to cover each category broadly (mainly to show you all your
options) and also cover a handful of items that I like to whet your appetite.
This program is for sale on Cydia and it costs $2.99. I receive nothing from the
program's developer. I just want to make you aware of an important program to help you
theme your iPhone. This program can be used in conjunction with WinterBoard themes.
You can either launch the application direct from the springboard or from within Settings.
Here's the main menu.
Adjusting this changes the speed that apps open and close. The smaller the number the
quicker the transition.
You can choose to hide the app icons when you are in the app switcher along with changing
the sizes of the sample pages from 20% to 200%. You can even associate a respring with
swiping the home page up to close it.
When you swipe up from the bottom of the screen you open the Control Center. You can
choose to hide everything in it if you want to.
Hide dock hides the dock and all the icons in it. The icons on your screen will spread
out to fill the height of the screen. Hide background hides the colored bar behind your
You can resize your dock icons and choose between 25% to 200%. You can also
hide the labels on the dock icons. You can also increase the amount of icons in your
dock up to 10. You can also adjust the side inset which will spread out the icons in the
dock to fill the width of the screen or place them right next to each other.
You can also enable the Coverflow effect or reverse it. Adjust the factor and the
perspective of the icons to further fine tune the appearance of the icons.
You can nest folders by creating the interior folder from within the exterior folder.
Pinch to close is another very slick feature.
The background can be made transparent when the folder is open, but when it's closed
you'll see a colored background. I don't understand what unblurred icon does. You can
eliminate the opening and closing animation. Resizing your icons is also an option from
25% to 200%.
You can hide the labels and increase the amount of columns to 10, and the rows to 8.
Altering the vertical padding, horizontal padding and side inset can produce some unique
layouts. Don't forget to throw in the Coverflow effect along with some factor and
There's a lot of options in this section including hiding the updated badge, locking your
app layout, disable the app wiggling that happens when you want to move or delete an
app. You can even disable the ability to uninstall apps, and hide badges on all of them.
The icon image effect has 8 filters you can apply. Here's red ascendant. You can adjust
the transparency of all the icons.
Not only can you change the background color of badge icons, but you can change the color
of the text that appears on them. You can also hide any icon that you want.
You can also modify the lock screen by hiding the camera (which disables the
functionality), the slider (where you can even place custom text), the clock size can be
increased, seconds can be added, and the date can be increased in size as well, or
substitute text used.
Page dots can be hidden here, along with the ability to disable the Spotlight search
function. As discussed in other sections, the icons can be resized from 25% to 200%,
the text labels can be hidden. You can add more columns (up to 10), or rows (up to 8).
Vertical padding, horizontal padding and side inset can be adjusted. The Coverflow
affect can also be applied and adjusted.
You can set a custom carrier name, or even a custom message in place of the time.
You can also hide the following icons: airplane, airplay, alarm, battery image, battery
percentage, black square, Bluetooth battery, Bluetooth signal, call forwarding, carrier,
do not disturb, location, network activity, network type, Nike+, recording, rotation lock,
signal strength, TTY, time, and VPN.
