Bandwidth theft detected

You have been redirected to this page because the site you were visiting has done one of two things:
  • They have reposted an announcement by the iPhone Dev Team in its entirety, in which my website was listed as an unofficial mirror.   Not such a big deal, but I prefer people to come to my website directly to download files, or use the iPhone Dev Team's announcement page to come to my site.   I run an amazing website and you should be visiting me instead of the other site you were at.
  • They have specifically targeted my site and linked directly to a file that I am paying out of my pocket to host.   This is poor behavior on behalf of that site's webmaster and is unacceptable.   These other sites have ads, they are profiting from their website, and they are too cheap to pay for their own bandwidth and have consciously decided to stick me with part of their hosting bill. Gee, thanks guys!
I don't mind if other websites link to one of my pages. I just don't want them linking directly to a file, be it a download or an image.

If you still don't understand why this is a big deal, let me put it to you this way.   Let's say you owned a house.   One day your next door neighbor decides he doesn't want to pay for his own electricity bill any more and runs an extension cord over to your house, plugging in to one of your outdoor outlets.   He then hides the cord running to your house so you can't see it.   The neighbor then proceeds to power his house with your electricity. You are now paying the electricity bill for your neighbor, unaware!

What can you do?   You can visit my website instead.   Hack That Phone.com (also known as Hack the iPhone.com) was the FIRST website on the Internet to make tutorials for hacking the iPhone.   I've been here since the day the iPhone launched in June of 2007.   I make the best tutorials on the 'net.

This is the tutorial that has the download file being linked to by so many other sites: Unlocking the 3G S iPhone on 3.1.2 firmware using PwnageTool
