iPhone firmware 1.1.4 tutorials
This section is now DEPRECATED. This means, while the tutorials in this section can still be
used, there will be no further updates to any of the content in this section.
The navigation bar above contains links to everything this site has to offer. All unlocking
tutorials are in the Start here menu above. I've added as many hacking tutorials as I can think of
for 1.1.4 firmware. Explore all the menu buttons on this site. I have compiled a treasure trove of
information here and I think the majority of visitors don't realize there is a lot more here than
just an unlocking guide.
I am no longer offering tutorials for previous firmware versions as I feel they are unnecessary, and
just add to the confusion factor. If you are not already running 1.1.4 firmware, then restore your
iPhone now and install 1.1.4 firmware. It's that simple.
Everything on this site is free! I never charge for anything. If you have been
redirected here from a website that charged you money, then you were ripped off! Also, I will not
provide any support for these predatory sites. Seek help directly from the company you paid money
to, not me.
Due to my limited free time, and
the lack of support from my Windows readers (I'm unemployed
- this website is but a hobby), I will no longer be offering any Windows tutorials. Don't have a
Mac? I highly recommend taking a look at the Mac Mini (even a refurbished one). It's a great way
to get introduced to Macintosh computing. You can great deals on older Macs like the "Pismo"
PowerBook (~$200). It's the Chevy 350 of laptops. You can always find parts for it, and it's the
only laptop you can change the CPU, the backlight and the display on in just minutes.
Keep in mind should you get into trouble, I do offer repair services for a fee.

I do not provide any e-mail support at all (unless you donate first), I do not have the free time.
I recommend a forum for help.
Happy hacking!
This site is about the legal modification of the iPhone to add features and or programs to make it
more useful. This site will also show you how to unlock the iPhone for use on other GSM cell phone
providers' networks, other than your officially designated national carrier. The ability to unlock
a phone is protected in the United States under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. As of 2006
the U.S Copyright Office allowed this exception because in their words: "The underlying activity
sought to be performed by the owner of the handset is to allow the handset to do what it was
manufactured to do – lawfully connect to any carrier. This is a noninfringing activity by the
user...The purpose of the software lock appears to be limited to restricting the owner’s use of the
mobile handset to support a business model, rather than to protect access to a copyrighted work
itself."
